About Acumatica POS Powered by Heuristyc and Its Relaunch 

Acumatica POS helps companies add functionality to process point of sale transactions. It provides quick processing of over-the-counter sales transactions, connecting easily to retail hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, cash registers, and receipt printers) and helping users effectively manage registers, receipt printing, credit card swiping/payments, scan items (and more) in one solution. 

In August 2023, Acumatica POS—originally an ISV solution Acumatica purchased from IIG in 2020—officially transitioned to developer ISV Heuristyc, a company that specializes in building best-of-class customizations, applications, and integrations for Acumatica. The Heuristyc team collaborated with Acumatica to develop our point-of-sale product, from product stabilization and its future roadmap to onboarding introduction and communication with VARs and existing customer accounts. 

Built on the Acumatica xRP Platform and available in the Acumatica Marketplace, the  powerful counter sales solution is now a Fulfilled by Acumatica (FbA) product. FbA is a program that gives customers and partners the ability to buy third-party applications directly from Acumatica, simplifying the purchasing and billing process for everyone. FbA applications can also be bundled with core Acumatica modules and editions. 

In addition to this new and well-deserved FbA designation, we’re thrilled to share that Acumatica POS Powered by Heuristyc is now integrated with Acumatica Payments 

Why is this great news?  

Because with Acumatica Payments, users can easily capture credit card information, generate receipts, complete orders, create new point of sales orders, add items by scanning barcodes/using quick item button, and process payments, thus making counter sales a breeze.
