Acumatica’s highly anticipated second release of the year—Acumatica 2024 R2—is no exception.  To experience the hundreds of enhancements and to benefit from the latest innovations, we make it easy for customers to transition from older versions of our ERP solution to the new release.

New Industry Functionalities: Meeting Your Needs

Acumatica 2024 R2’s more than 350 enhancements stem from direct input from our over 26,000 Acumatica community members. The customer-centric improvements are designed to help SMBs with their unique challenges and to take advantage of emerging AI and machine learning technologies that seek to make information gathering more intuitive and natural.

Says Acumatica’s VP of Product Management, Jeremy Larsen, “In the R2 release, we prioritized the product roadmap and delivered value across three major themes: Customer-Driven Innovation, Advancing Technology, and Engineered for the Future.”

Here’s how these themes translate to Acumatica’s Industry Editions:

Construction Edition: On-demand ProForma invoice creation, substantiated billing, additional project quote statuses, enhanced field services calendars and expanded project transaction tagging simplify billing processes and improve cash flow management.

Distribution Edition: Sales Order Margin Analysis Anomaly Detection uses advanced AI algorithms to detect patterns and anomalies that traditional methods miss. Other enhancements include consolidated intercompany shipment capabilities, two-step receiving, prepay terms, the recreation of deleted purchase orders and improved purchase price variance approval mapping.

Manufacturing Edition: Enhancements in the estimating module, including a new Estimate Worksheet, will enable manufacturers to estimate costs for multiple quantities, improving accuracy. Simplified order reversal, project-specific inventory tracking and production order linking will streamline critical business management processes.

Retail Edition: Acumatica now supports Amazon returns, and its Shopify integration allows volume pricing and quantity rules.

General Business Edition: Direct integration with banks to automate reconciliation and expense management, saving time and reducing errors.

In addition to these significant industry-specific updates, Acumatica 2024 R2 delivers the controlled release of our newly revamped User Interface (UI), which allows users to easily customize, simplify, and share screen layouts. We’re also introducing a general inquiry functionality that lets you leverage AI to identify exceptions or anomalies in transaction reviews.
