Every year, Acumatica hosts a Summit focused on collaboration, innovation, and acceleration in the cloud ERP space. And every year, women in technology (along with any attendees who wish to participate) have an opportunity to gather together to discuss equity in the workplace. During Acumatica Summit 2022 (coming January 23-28, 2022 to the Wynn Las Vegas), the Women in Technology Luncheon: Aligning for Professional Impact is taking place on Tuesday, January 25th, 12:00 PM – 1:50 PM.
What to Expect
The Women in Tech Luncheon will be a powerful and inspiring event. The engaging session and roundtable discussions will be led by JJ DiGeronimo, founder and president of Tech Savvy Women (TSW).
In 2008, JJ started TSW as a local initiative and as a way to connect to other women in the industry. Now boasting over 4,000 members, the national organization focuses on:
- Empowering experienced professional women to maneuver these demanding landscapes
- Educating managers on how to recruit, retain, and advance diverse talent
- Coaching male allies on effective ways to sponsor talent into leadership positions
- Guiding Board of Directors on diverse recruiting strategies
JJ is a best-selling author, thought leader, keynote speaker, strategic advisor, featured columnist (in such publications/TV shows as Forbes, Fox News, ITWorld, Career-Intelligence, and Rescue a CEO), and more with over 20 years of high-tech experience. She knows exactly how challenging it can be for women to make a professional impact.
“It’s great to have aspirations to do something more influential and impactful, but if you’re not relevant or people don’t see you in that way, it’s very, very difficult to make the jump,” she says in a leadership conference video.
Thankfully, her “effective leadership and inclusion strategies” help women in tech make an impact and overcome obstacles. During the Acumatica Summit 2022 luncheon, she’ll take her expertise and use industry research on women in tech and STEM positions to encourage women to elevate their relevance, meet their professional goals, and accelerate their success in the workplace.
Join the Inspirational Women in Tech Luncheon
The Women in Tech Luncheon with JJ couldn’t come at a better time. According to Statista, the tech sector is far from achieving gender equality. Per self-reported company figures by the GAFAM (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft) group, their workforce is made up of only 29% to 45% female employees. JJ is hard at work inspiring women of all ages to pursue their dreams and to jump—not hesitate—when inevitable hurdles arise.
She writes in her award-winning book, Accelerate Your Impact: Action-Based Strategies to Pave Your Professional Path, “Each time I was pushed down, I got back up. And her first book, The Working Woman’s GPS: When the Plan to Have It All Leads You Astray, is equally motivating. She uses her own experience (along with other women’s experiences) in reevaluating and “recalculate” life’s course to teach other women how to evaluate their lives as they are now and to turn them into the lives they envision.
