Behind every technological innovation there’s a team of dedicated developers who have tirelessly sought to design, build, and optimize solutions that help businesses succeed in today’s digital landscape. Over 28 million developers worldwide continue to advance these boundary-pushing solutions, including life-changing low-code/no-code tools that have put the power of application building in the hands of “citizen developers.”
At Acumatica, we offer a low-code/no-code framework along with open APIs and mobility capabilities, which, as Doug Johnson, VP, Product Management, explains, allow your “business process experts, who already know your operations inside and out to make changes to the system through the user interface—without developers.”
Our cloud ERP solution’s developer-free adaptability is one of many things that makes Acumatica different, and the Acumatica difference is on full display at Acumatica Summit 2025. Our annual community event(January 26-29 at the beautiful Wynn Las Vegas) is less than a month away, and we’ve recently reviewed the Manufacturing, Distribution, and Construction sessions as well as the Core Business sessions scheduled during the three full days.
Today, we’re turning our attention to the more “technical” sessions that put the spotlight on Acumatica’s flexible platform—and each session is open to developers and non-developers alike.
Breakout Sessions Designed for Both Developers and Non-Developers
Our Summit Agenda is filled with activities and experiences that shine a spotlight on the latest cloud ERP advancements. These activities include visionary keynotes, our sold-out Acumatica Marketplace exhibiting Acumatica ISV’s powerful third-party applications, and a wealth of social events that deliver valuable networking opportunities.
Mixed in-between these learning-filled and engaging activities are our almost 90 information rich breakout sessions. Designed to provide you with a deeper understanding of how Acumatica’s industry-specific software can help your business grow, the sessions are broken down into three different types.
Below are brief descriptions and examples of Summit’s developer-focused sessions.
Informative
Informative sessions seek to increase attendees’ Acumatica and technology understanding by unpacking the latest industry trends and digging into product details, feature specifics, and issue background.
Session Example: No-Code Customizations: Best Practices and Tips and Tricks — Organizations need ERP systems that fit their businesses. They should never have to change their businesses to fit a system. This can only be achieved through a flexible ERP solution that enables business process experts and in-house developers to easily configure the system. This session will focus on some of the Do’s and Don’ts of publishing, creating actions and conditions, and adding new fields. Attendees will learn how to modify workflows, combine customizations and business events, and understand the makeup of a screen. Tips, tricks, and best practices will be shared throughout the session.
Interactive
Interactive sessions engage attendees through panel discussions and workshops that allow attendees to share insights and experiences as well as ask and answer questions, thus promoting collaborative learning at a deeper level.
Session Example: Acumatica Technical Roadmap: Overview and Ask the Expert — The groundbreaking innovations Acumatica has introduced in the past several years are just the beginning. The Acumatica Technical Product Roadmap communicates how the solution will continue to evolve in the coming years. In this session, attendees will interact with one of Acumatica’s technical decision-makers, hear the latest information and updates about the Product Roadmap, and get a sneak peek at key initiatives and the future of the xRP platform.
Immersive
Immersive sessions take a more hands-on approach by offering real-world scenarios of common, often complex business challenges. Attendees will discover how they can overcome these challenges through the efficient and effective use of Acumatica.
Session Example: Application Integration: Best Practices for Leveraging Acumatica APIs and Custom Endpoints — One of the greatest features of the Acumatica xRP Platform is its open APIs, which enable developers to integrate Acumatica with applications that expand its functionality. In this session, presenters will cover best practices for using Extended Web Services Endpoints to fulfill integration requirements with Contract-based APIs.
Another Developer/Non-Developer Opportunity
In addition to the developer sessions, Summit offers an exciting, skill-building opportunity that actively combines the prolific abilities of our developer and non-developer community members: our annual Hackathon.
Starting 12 PM PST Saturday, January 25 and continuing into Sunday, January 26, Hackathon is the place where attendees unleash their creativity, building and showcasing a unique application designed for and on the Acumatica xRP platform. And you don’t have to be a tech expert to participate.
Unlike some ‘hackathons’ that demand participants be tech experts, our annual Hackathon is open to anyone who has the desire to get hands-on experience with business management software, loves connecting with a diverse group of people who share a love for all things Acumatica, and enjoys the creative energy of a good, old-fashioned competition. Customers, implementation partners, marketing experts, product managers, developers, system engineers, and work process experts all bring their unique abilities and talents to the table at this exciting, competitive event.
