Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill recognized for innovative approach to customer rights, challenging other cloud ERP solution providers to follow suit
BELLEVUE, WA, January 22, 2020 – Acumatica, the world’s fastest-growing cloud ERP company, today announced its CEO Jon Roskill has been named a winner in the 2020 BIG Innovation Awards presented by the Business Intelligence Group. The announcement comes just days before Acumatica Summit 2020, which will be held at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
“Innovation has become a major theme for organizations across virtually all industries and this year’s winners are a testament to the creativity, passion and perseverance of individuals worldwide,” said Maria Jimenez, chief operating officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “We are thrilled to be honoring Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill as he is leading by example and making real progress on improving the daily lives of so many.”
Roskill believes that customers deserve better and more transparent cloud ERP business application vendor practices, leading to the evolution of Acumatica’s Customer Bill of Rights. These rights address the challenges customers face when selecting the right SaaS business application, such as constantly changing end-user license agreements and hidden fees.
“In July 2019, I issued a challenge for other cloud ERP vendors to fix their unscrupulous business practices,” said Roskill. “Whether they accept or decline, our current and potential customers know that they matter to us, and that their rights are always a top consideration. We at Acumatica are thrilled to be recognized for our innovative dedication to protecting customers from unethical business practices and keeping our customers’ needs and wants at the forefront of our product roadmap.”
One of Acumatica’s innovative commitments in its Customer Bill of Rights is the unique pricing structure, which is based on computing resources used, as opposed to the number of users permitted into the system. Customers are not required to pay for additional licenses, even when casual users, suppliers and other customers are added to the mix. Instead, Acumatica bases its pricing on three related factors: what applications customers want to currently use, what type of license customers choose and what a customer’s projected level of consumption is based on the volume of its business transactions and data storage.
Organizations from across the globe submitted their recent innovations for consideration in the BIG Innovation Awards. Nominations were then judged by a select group of business leaders and executives who volunteer their time and expertise to score submissions.
